Company

The firm Joh. Zellinger GmbH & Co KG was founded by Mr. Johann Zellinger as a saddlery business in Linz on April 27th, 1873. It has been a family-owned company ever since and has developed into a business of worldwide renown. Today it is best known for the production of tunnel cleaning machines, airfield vehicles and special bodies.

In 1956 the company moved from Linz to its current location at Traun. On November 23rd, 1977 the company was granted permission to bear the national coat of arms in all written correspondence, as a special honouring for excellent developments. The main pillars of the company are vehicles for municipal applications as well as vehicles for airports.

For the municipal field of application, Zellinger manufactures tunnel washing machines. They clean tunnels all over Europe, Asia, Australia and Central America. These tunnel washing machines can be fitted with two or three automatically controlled washing brushes having a cleaning capacity of 13,500 m²/h, which is unrivalled worldwide.

Toilet cleaning trucks and potable water supply vehicles by our company are used for service work on airports. For underfloor refuelling services, pit-cleaners made by Zellinger are well-known and appreciated. These airfield vehicles are not only used all over Central Europe, but also in Russia, where they are even used in Siberia without any problems.
